Organized Play
Welcome to the WotEM Experience!
Before choosing options for volunteering for the Wardens of the Eastern Marches hall at Gamehole Con, please review our Game Master Policies. All Dungeon Masters and members of the Admin Team are responsible for following these Policies. There are two different opportunities for volunteering for our Wardens program so please join both or either of them if they interest you:
Volunteer Roles
Ways to Get Involved
Dungeon Master
This is quite frankly the most important role that we have. Once you have volunteered to be a Dungeon Master for Wardens of the Eastern Marches, we will follow with a survey to find out how many of our adventures and what specific adventures you are willing to run. To volunteer to be a Dungeon Master, you must join our WotEM Dungeon Master Group.
Set-up / Tear-down
We will be setting up the WotEM hall on Wednesday afternoon of Gamehole Con week. Once we have the hall set up, we will be having our DM Meeting. Further, we will be tearing down the hall on Sunday, after the last games are complete. We very much appreciate that help and please note that volunteering to help us with this does count towards your total volunteering hours for badge reimbursement.

GM Perks
Wardens of the Eastern Marches Volunteer Rewards
Wardens games are scheduled to have a running time of 3 hours each. They will be scheduled in 4-hour slots to allow for games running long, to allow for more time to rest, recharge, and get something to eat, and to allow for a more relaxed pace generally. However, despite the 3-hour planned running time, Wardens DMs will get 4 hours of volunteer credit for each Wardens session that they run.
This is important because as a DM at Gamehole Con, you are entitled to receive:
Exclusive Rewards
Further Wardens-Specific DM Volunteer Rewards
Beyond the general GM rewards that Gamehole Con offers, as a Wardens DM you will receive additional benefits. We track these benefits by numbers of Wardens sessions ran rather than by hours. These additional benefits are:
Accommodations
Room Shares
